![]() there was no dice roll or pendulum or monte, just straight up forced to take 20 damage without warning. i then proceeded through the dialogue of the successful encounter (the madmen i think it was called?) and without any options involved it dealt me 20 damage, killing me. second time through i did a new card encounter while at 20 health, and succeeded the card monte. first time through i only got 55/60 defense because i didn't realize the armors in my deck wouldn't be enough to get capped, so no gold token for me. If you don't have the 60 strength, then you're in for a rough time. If you can make it to the end with the 60 strength you need, the boss isn't all that bad, so long as you have a decent amount of health and play safe. You have to fight a lot more carefully and deliberately to succeed here. The blessing that gives you additional food every time you encounter dice prevents you from starving AND helps charge up the Gluttony armor.Īnd above all, focus on not getting hit. Gluttony armor helps a ton, as it helps you get more food, and when upgraded it gives a ton of defense. ![]() Starting with the potion and quaffing 2-3 charges at the start is essential, and you'll probably want to have Exploding Doodads in the deck to charge it back up again. Yeah, extra dice from Colbjorn would be nice, but you main priority should be staying alive. Malaclypse is THE companion you want for this run as the barrier is essential.
